It would seem that they are the same on both models. Personally, I still think that it is unlikely that the TPS and temperature sensor have failed simultaneously and that big mess of wires is the culprit.

Stop looking for the Temperature Sensor on the thermostat housing because, if you have one it won't be there. I would have thought that someone on here would know where it is by now. Your model and frame numbers will help identify your vehicle. If you have a latter 2L-T you will have a temperature sensor and a TPS along with an emissions control computer. The temperature sensor will be in the block under the manifold, above the starter roughly between cylinder three and four. The TPS could be on the fuel pump. If earlier it will not have them. Diagnostic codes between the 2L-T and 2L-TE are very different.
