  • Out of Interest,if you can advise?

Having recently had the starter moter bits changed,(copper bits went thin, thanks to all the info i got from members) the mechanic i used eventally had to get the motor out from the engine compartment. During removing obstacles to do this the air filter had to come off. However, saw that the pipe from the air filter had previously been taped up(from air filter to what ever bit its connected to)
Well i thought, just tape it up again.(and maybe not as well as it was taped) Ok , BUT ive recentently noticed a marked reduction in power( related or not???) and on a full tank of juice, at best 200 mile.(related or not???)
Is that pipe so critical, if so why, has anyone got one.
    Thanks

Possibly related, but probably not. First step, anyway, is to replace it. One of the breakers, Lord Lucan, Stormforce or Supersurf may have one. Otherwise:

hi nigel do a search on turbo boost pipe, its a small pipe that comes from the inlet manifold to the sender on the side of the air filter can, i think this might not be connected.
