  • Strange beeping noise in water

Ok when the water gets about half way between my bumper and bonnet my little 92 diesal 2.4 surf surf (which is fitted with a snorkel by the way) starts emmiting a loud continuous beeping noise and all the dash warning lights come on!! this has happened about 10 times now without any apparent harm as it stops as soon as I leave the water. But...... it is ****** annoying and very intreeeeeging if anyone has any answers I would love to hear them.

Sounds like the alternator being flooded - I've had a similar problem after wading. It could be made worse by a need for new brushes. Mine were way below the minimum and I haven't had a repeat since fitting new ones.
