  • No rear De-mist

I'm having a bit of trouble with my rear window, it wont de-mist. I have checked to see whether there is power to the electrical connectors on the window and there is a very faint power signal. I was using a circuit tester with a light and the light wasn't very bright at all. anyone else had any problems with the rear window. Both my KZN and LN-130 have no de mist?

Actually it could just be a degraded wire in the loom somewhere. electrics are not my specialty but will have a go at anything

There's probably a break in the power wire where it goes from tailgate to body due to the frequent opening and closing.

I one had the very same problem. It turned out to be the cables that run to the screen from the control box.

Remove the back carpet panel and the metal cover. You'll then have to shut the tailgate and send the window up about 1/2 way.

The cables run in a plastic truking but mine had flexed so much one had broken

i am getting power to the connector on the window, however this doesn't seem to be enough to power the strips on the window. not much voltage at all

Are you earthing from the cables or a separate point. If you are earthing from the termial try to earth the light to a differant point, if then you get a good voltage it's the earth.
