  • Cracking Noise From front Suspention

Hi every one! Is there any one out there that can shed some light on what the cracking noise is when I put my 92 2.4TD on full lock and move forward? It dos'nt always do it but seems to be worse the faster I go.

It's not in 4WD is it. Other than that check the front wheelbearings and the CV joints. Sounds like it is a bearing breaking up somewhere.

Other than that it may be hitting the steering stops and the plastic caps have worn out. Blob of grease should cure that.

    Cheers

Guess you have the same problem as me : wishbone bushes are shot, £32.00 each from Toyata main dealer and if you have to replace wishbones you are looking at £184.00 each. I was going to post the same question, if a 92 2.4 need to have just the bushes replaced or the wishbones as well ?

Try a blob of grease on the stops(dont forget there's two on each side), mine had the same problem when i bought it.
Hard to believe the blob of grease cures such a horrible noise!
