Two parts to the shroud... one on the top, one on the bottom...

But as you say, doesn't look right... either the fan is too small, or the shroud is too big... or both...

Tried to take the fan off this morning, the shroud is welded to the radiator in one place and cable tied in the other 3. There is no bottom half on it.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

main thing to be concerned about is air flow... as long as the fan pulls cool air through when stationary, you are good... sure I posted a whole load of suggestions previously about this... And make sure the rad is clean and free from obstructions...

Been spending a lot of time on this, the truck overheats when under load or stationary, but doesn't lose coolant. From what I can see, the viscous fan isn't working (free when hot), I'm not happy with the shrouds, the radiator may be choked and I don't like the ATF cooler being where it is. Everything else seems to be OK. Hopefully I'll get it fixed next weekend.

Everything else? Is there anything else? Why not go the route I did and make an electric scrapyard special?

Cheers for that, should the fan fill the hole?

My shroud doesn't look like that, apart from being curvy at the top.

I seem to remember there being a gap of around an inch or so between the fan and the shroud, although I may be slightly out. It has been a while since I removed it. If anyone happens to be coming up your way anytime soon, I have the old blade assembly, (I think, but I'll double check), and shroud if you want them? I have sod all use for them.

                    Aye, there are a couple!

And I'm thinking about the electric fan route, but not convinced it's the most reliable way to do it.

It's been running spot bollock here for a couple of years now. You also have the bonus of being able to disable it if you are wading, and being able to switch it on manually.
