Uphill Overheat

Why does my surf only overheat aiming uphill?!?

Is it worth getting a secondary cooler for the AT rather than arsing around with rads. pressure test is fine, thermostat is fine, rad is fine - but it still whirrs like a madthing when going uphill.

Its not fatal, just irritating and i want to keep the beast going - i doubt theres an easy solution but just wondered if any experts have managed to rectify it without going down the new head route....

try looking at your viscous coupling on the main fan,and a secondary atf cooler is always a good idea especially if you are towing heavy objects.http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-te...lutch-mod.html have a look here for viscous fan servicing.
