Hi can someone please help me with abit of advice, I need to change my front pipe but 2 of 3 studs from front pipe to manifold are hard to get to, is the easiest way to drop the small piece of manifold, then seperate it from the front pipe, or is there another way of getting the front pipe off????

When i did my head gasket on my 2.4 i had no problem removing the front pipe. The manifold was a bit of agg but only because the turbo surport bracket bolts were rounded off by the previous owner.

I always spray the exhaust nuts with a good nut release agent (available from your local motorspares shop) the night before, this saves so much trouble.

Spray all the nuts and bolts on the turbo shield and down pipe liberally and crack on with a good quality spanner.

From what i remember you have to undo the egr pipe on the inlet side aswell to give you a bit more movement, but i should be an easy job.

    Regards Andy
