Hi all,
I recently bought a surplus 2L-TE, though i had it installed with a mechanical injection pump. I've read in some website that removing the EGR valve and pipe can help a lot in improving performance and reducing black smoke. Can anyone verify this?
If it really does help, a follow-up question for you guys would be:
1. What should be removed? Will removing the pipe and plugging the holes do or do I really have to remove the EGR pipe, valve, control assembly and valve adapter?
2. If I remove all of the above, what should be the type material that I should use to plug the holes left out by removing the pipes? Can aluminum, metal or can a galvanized GI sheet do?
Thanks much in advance.
