does anyone have any suggestions as to why my Hilux has recently started rough idling? It only happens when the engine is first started up and lasts for about 5 minutes of driving. I run my Hilux on WVO which is running very well - no other problems - just the rough idling.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.

That sounds like an after effect of the WVO, Hippo used to run roughly at tickover on SVO until she was warm.

If you want to cut it down try mixing with dino diesel.

Also, your fuel filter could be rather clogged.

thanks for the advice. Actually though, I'm running on 100% WVO and it runs fine - it only runs roughly during the first 5 minutes when idling - whether on diesel or WVO (I use a two tank system). Also the diesel filter was changed recently as were the filters for the WVO. Also I'm guessing the filters are not the problem because the car run OK without any fuel starvation issues.
On another forum someone suggested I may not be purging the WVO long enough atr journeys end so will try doing this.
