Not really a technical problem but if you could help me out, cheers...

What is the little green topped button near the idle up switch for

Gen 2

It's not standard so probably your rear fog or aux front fogs / spots...

Maybe switch your sidelights on and get someone to walk round the vehicle while you toggle the switch.
