solid sus, need replacing

Hi all.
My surf is 1991 2.4td and runs on some Rancho RS 5000's (are they any good?????), but I have noticed that the front left side is leaking oil. most would think this is bad but actually its good for me as I want to replace mine anyway as they are rock solid and you feel every bump in the road, there is also hardly any articulation with is stupid as I have a 3" sus lift (and hopefully soon a 2" body lift).
I basically want some less solid ones but I have no idea what to go for, I would also like to adjust them. I don’t have a huge budget so no old man emu £1000 jobs please.

Wasn't that around £450 for a set of shocks though?! Hardly best value for the ordinary man in the street. Its around 1/4 of the value of a typical 2nd gen!

What about a set of Procomps for around £160 for 4? They work OK, and 3000s will be softer than what you've got. You aint gonna get adjustables for sensible money, and if you dont spend lots of time offroad, dont bother.

i want something fairly decent and i have cheacked out the £450 ones sounds nice, but quite pricey.
i have read good reviews of the 5000's and most say they arnt to hard but mine really are rock solid, i mean im only 22 and i think my spine has already gone, when i drive my bosses ford ranger its luxury.

(I think) they're Australian, so have probably been on the truck for a long time. If one's leaking oil, that supports the likelihood that they're ancient.

Loads of people here have got Procomps. They aren't the best build quality out there, but they work, and are as cheap as chips! That MUST make them a bargain.

Tony N deals in TJM, which seem to be rather better build quality and have a serious reputation, but are about £70 a corner. Still near half the price of the adjustable Ranchos...

yer was from oz, came over in 2003, i have the paperwork and i was bought for £12,000, honest no joak, and i paid £1000 cash her her. lost £11,000 in 5 years.
just read that the ranchos have lifelime waranty, but i think mine might be void.

£280 sound nice, just for the better build quality, and then i can also get her snorkle, dont know from where yet though.

im running at 30psi to 35psi on 31" bfg AT's.

30 would be best. 35 would be backbreaking!
