Hi Chris, welcome on board, enjoy your stay.

    Info. on body/suspension lifts here.......
    http://toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/suspension.htm

    http://toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/bodylift.htm

Both jobs are about as difficult, or easy as each other really, depends on your skills with the spanners.

Body lift is slightly cheaper if that helps.

Re: your rear window problem, is sounds like the 'down' relays are not working. cheap and easy fix to replace all four, you can get relays from here...

You will be fine mate as long as you have half decent all terrain tyres.
Standard Surf is more than capable. You will be able to drive around anything you dont fancy. It's about having a good day, and a laugh, not who's the biggest idiot.
Kerrsurf has been up and down almost everything at the clog in a standard surf (the grey one in the pics) and blackpoolsparks the same in the standard black one. You will love it

It's £20 for the days driving camping is free.

No bother a few will only drive during the day then head off. The pajero club will be there. I haven't been with them before so you won't be the only new face at2s are perfect I have driven the clog with them and Kerrsurf still does. The meeting on the 5th July is a first face to face for most attending.
As for other meets and places you have Tay 4x4 who go somewhere the last Sunday of the month they are at Crieff this month. You also have Glentarki not far for you, up towards Perth.

                        Back to original question!

Just going back to the original question in this thread. How long (roughly!) should it take a trained mechanic to do a suspension/body lift? Also, any ideas how much the parts would be?

I'm just looking for some rough costs here, I don't have them time to do it myself but I do know an honest mechanic (rare I know!).

                        Thanks,
                        S.h.

Three to four hours I'd say.

Basically it will depend on how big suspension lift you want.if its gonna be a 2" lift and 1.5" to 2" body lift then the max should be 4 hours i would say and thats being generous i think.
Bodylift from Tony i think is £85
2" suspension lift from roughtrax is around the 350 mark i think without looking on the site

                              Wow, fast responses!

You were bang on with the £350 guess.

Quite expensive, for what i'm going to be using the car for I think! See my other thread (http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/forums/sh...111#post447111)

Thanks for getting back to me.
