  • 200000km please help!!!

hello i am new to the forum
i live in perth, and i want to buy a 94 toyota hilux surf 2.4 litres ssr-g for 5.5 thousand dollar
the car is in good condition and has been serviced regulary..everything seems to work fine...engine starts as soon as you turn the keys..runs smooth..
BUT the car has 200000km already. is that too much for the surf? how loong will i still be able to run it ??
the engine seems to be in good condition...does the amount of kilometres really matter?? is a 150000km or less engine much better then this one??

ps..the motor has been ??carbonized?? what does that mean?? is it good??
there has also been changes of the fuil pump and other stuff...

sorry for all the questions but i am a little worried .....
    Thx for helping me....

It should last well past 200,000km. Main weaknesses are in the cylinder head so make sure the cooling system is all fine, no signs of overheating, no pressurising in any hoses etc etc.

Welcome along, if you want advice from your countrymen, have a look here http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au you're most welcome here and a few guys from Oz post here regularly, but, as you're well aware, we're a grumpy lot up here and don't travel the same sort of distances that you do.

I bought my Surf 5 years ago with 85,000kms on the clock.

Its just past 267,000kms and its going better than ever.

(part from the front diff which I trashed last week but that was my fault!)

I'm keeping The Shed till death do us part - hopefully the Shed first lol
