lost coolant

I've just done a coolant drain/flush etc on my 92 2.4 manual surf,only managed to drain 7.1 litres,refilled after flush and it took 7.1L to fill,so where is the other 2 litres,all heaters are blowing hot,pipes/rad etc all warm up, when I drained and flushed the original coolant it was like new, not a hint of muck just clean coolant, but I should of drained approx 9 litres.

You'll never get it all out, heater matrix etc will retain some. As long as everything is hot and you check the level for the next couple of days or so, should be fine.
