Can you check flywheel without removal?

This may sound daft, but can you check the flywheel for rattles without removing it all? Checked other posts and it definately sounds like my flywheel has fallen appart but don't want to disturb it if I'm wrong.

Any suggestions?

no what you have put on your post is no doubt flywheel break down as you mite

know we have a dual mass flywheel and they are made to go wrong you will hav e to get on the phone to miliner off road to order a new one the bits you should get are

1 solid state wheel

2 8x flywheel bolts

3 1x clutch kit and ask for the clutch kit for the solid state flywheel

4 1xspigot bearing it it costs a fiver

5 1x slave cylinder


sounds like a lot of parts to pay for but well worth getting it right first time not like me who put a new gearbox in and did not do the flywheel and now 5/6 weeks on the old dual mass has went pop on me so i will poss have to put another new clutch kit in so get it right first time o the garage that put the new clutch &new gearbox in for me only £200 gbp so i will have to pay for that all over again

when the flywheel is off do the rear crank case seal and you should have years o surf fun
