I was driving down the a14 tonight and got a hell off a knocking clacketty noise and then the old girl stopped, after 45mins or so when the aa man arrived she decided to start again, but the noise is horrendous. the nice bloke who got me home on the back of a truck said it sounds like it could be bottom end or has dropped an injector, any ideas I feel as if it is time to get rid and go for a 3rd gen, if anyone is interested in a sick 91 2.4 td with nice alloys let me know how much shes worth and we might be able to come to an agreement.
