  • Cam belt warning light

Does anyone know where the reset switch is for the cam belt light, I'm having a new one fitted next week and would like to know how to stop the light coming on when I first switch on the ignition.
Also what lights should come up when I first turn on the ignition ? There seems to be an awful lot !!
Please excuse my ignorance but I'm not the most mechanically minded person ! but I sure know how to wire a house and drive a lorry !!!!

there is a little rubber bung just between your rev counter and speedo, pull it off and there is a little reset button underneath. use a small screwdriver to press it , and it's off.

This light should come on as many others do, does it go off when you start the engine? its should do! the timing belt light should come on at around 100,000 kms

        cam belt warning light

mine came on when i was half way past a juggernaut on the m6 at about 4.00 am, i had three passengers two of which and myself were xxl and the caravan on the back, i had renewed the belt prior to putting the surf on the road, and i could tell that the belt had not snapped because the engine was still running, but i tell you i don't need shocks like that,
