Oil Pressure Gauge

Hi all

I was wondering if it's a common fault to have a non working oil pressure gauge. It would seem that mine is dead at the gauge end as I've tried shorting the connector on the sender with no response. Has anyone had any experience of repairing the gauge?

Make sure the wire to sender is connected at the wiring harness near top of alternator. I think it's a black plug.

Thanks for the reply. I've checked the wire throught two plugs before it goes throught the bulkhead and the continuity is good. Maybe I have to bite the bullet and start pulling the dash apart. Yikes.

Assuming you've got a 2nd gen, it's not too bad a job. Can be a bit fiddly putting it back together, but it's all very straightforward

The connector had just dropped out on mine. No trouble sorting it. Good time to destroy the speed bell if you have one too.
