  • No Boost (URGENT) More info

My turbo is not working, the boost light works untill the engine is warm then nothing.

and i cannot hear the usual whurring and there is No power.

all the lines are attached and appear to be ok,

this has only reasontly happened, i have looked at the tech site and it is of no help,

i have no way of checking pressure, other than the first pipe has suction i cannot trace any further along,

i do not know if the sucktion continues through all the lines or if it stops at a valve when idleing,

obviously getting the turbo to kick in when the car is not moving is not an option.

no idea where to go from here

Red line shows pipe with suction and direction its sucking in, where it goes into the sensor appears to dead end (i dont know if its ment to continue through other pipe on the sensor or not, there is no detectable air flow through any other line When the engine is idleing anyway

Have just noticed when the engine has been off a while the boost light works as normal for a short while, (altho i dont know if the turbo is acctualy working but i dont think so) then it stays off and the engine check light comes on.

The hose you marked has permanent vacuum. Other side of this, through the VSV will only have vacuum for a couple of seconds at engine shutdown. These and the other hoses in that area have nothing to do with the turbo. Have a look at this thread for a diagram and explanation on these vacuum hoses.

Check the hose from manifold under throttle body to the turbo sensor on the air filter housing. This is normally what causes your problem. Also do a fault code test.

I'll be very interested to hear the solution to this - sounds almost identical to one of the problems i was having with my breaker.

Engine temperature sensor gubbed? The ECU one, not the dash one.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

as far as i can tell there is nothing wrong with the hose under the throttle body,

and i cant afford a fault code test, . . and i mean i REALY cant afford it
