  • Radiator problems

Hi folks, I wonder if you can help me, I have a 3 core radiator fitted in my 2.4 LN130, it has started to leak a bit, so bought a new 2 core radiator, when I hitched my caravan on it over heated going up hill which it never did with the old 3 core one. Does anyone know where I can buy a new 3 core radiator?

i would be inclined to use roughtrax radiators over milners as milners have been known not to last very long due to being made from thin metal..You pay for what you get

If you do a lot of towing, it's worth fitting a transmission cooler, as the one built into the rad can't cope and the heat is transfered to the engine coolant causing overheating.

                    Totally agree.

When off roading my aux fan always kicked in due to conditions - low speed and high revs.

Since fitting tranny cooler the fan has not been heard - and I 've checked that it is working as it should.

Shows how much heat the tranny dumps into the coolant.

also there was a design fault with the auto rads the gearbox cooler blocks the bottom rad outlet have a look next time you have one off

Not as much as the thermostat blocks the flow...
