Confused bout veg oil!

Hi, i drive very high miles and have a very low mpg of bout 12mpg and im really wanting to run on veg oil but ive read lots of the previous threads and have confused me self now, can i jus run a veg oil and diesel mix with no alterations? or do i need to make some mechanical alterations as some threads say yes and some say no. its a J reg secodn gen 2.4L turbo. 12mpg ??? you got LEAD feet ?

Have you run some injector cleaner through ?

Have you changed the fuel filter recently.

You can mix veg and derv, but if you want to go 100% veg I would look to getting some heating installed.

I run up to 80% veg oil/derv mix, go to shop, buy veg oil, pour veg oil straight into tank, top up with derv, job done, very green, quite cheap ( relatively) and two fingers to the robbing b'stard government!

not qite lead just alot of mods dat make it a bit heavier and very uneconomical, jus need dat little bit of extra help to save the pennies for the next break down it comes up with, currently the gearbox though
