Firstly, hello to everyone, im new to the forums, having just registared (Looking for help of course).. Im having a problem with my surf at the minute, when i hit a bump in the road or even give it a rev when its taking over, the engine light comes on and the jeep cuts out for a fraction of a second and then goes on again and the engine light goes out, its like a loose wire or something, also when engine light comes on i can hear a relay clicking, sounds likes its on the passengers side, and it clicks everytime the jeep does it.. now it doesnt stop, just dies for a split second and goes on again only time it actually dies out is if you leave it idoling it will cut out itself after a few minutes..I havent actually checked anything yet and i decided to ask here first incase this is a known problem..
Also the gearbox is getting a bit dicky on it, sometimes it forgets to change up and down gears, hopefully picking up a gearbox for it friday, Just wondering are they hard to change??
Also looking for info on how to check fault codes..
The surf is a 2.4TD auto 1994
