    Hey
I'm somewhat of a newby as this is my first post but learnt heaps from reading replies to problems. Now I have a problem myself...Just recently had a new exhaust installed and being an import the mech had to do his best to find one the same and ended up making personal mods to it. The new one "appears" to be thinner and i was wondering if this would have any problems with performance? The new one is around 45mm (sorry im an aussie n dont know inches) and when at full revs (or even 3/4 revs) you can hear some serious air flowing out of it even while driving. The mech. said it was ok but i want some better opinions.

    Cheers

P.S. its 2.4TD with some very nice extras. Ill try n get photos up

Bigger is generally best. Check the above, maybe someone near you can have a look.

      45mm is about 1.75''.

Most new exhausts peeps go up to 2.5''.

I wouldn't go any bigger on the 2.4, you'll start to lose back pressure.
