  • more things to add on my faults list

It seems if the steering is turned quickly whilst stopped, the steering wheel clunks each time the wheels move - is this something serious?

Next item - the auto shift stick can be moved an inch or two when it's in drive - can this be tightend?

    Thanks again

A little detail would be useful with the steering issue, as for the shifter, have a look under the truck and see if any of the linkage is loose or worn.

Might need to tighten the steering belt

well, it;s kinda hard to explain - turn the wheels one lock and everything is fine.

Turn it another quater and theirs like a ten second time delay and then the wheel shute around with a clunk. then you turn a bit more and it does it again.

It has been raised and im wondering if the wheels are catching the sides perhaps....

Too dark and cold to look now, Ill take a closer look in the morning.

If the engine is running when it happens then as Carl said could be a loose belt. Get someone to have a look while you turn it. Check the power steering fluid level too.

ok, ill check that in the morning.

It has 31 x 10.5 r15s so im assuming they are the larger ones fitted. It doesn't look like its rubbing anywhere, but again ill have a look in the light

Shouldn't be rubbing with 31's even with a stock truck. Have a look at the lock clamps on the tierod adjuster tubes, sometimes the bolts hit the chassis if they are twisted around towards the back. Its not a big problem.
