  • removing air conditioning

Hi folks after some advice on removing the air con rad and fans from my 2,4 92 as last trip to drumclog the bash plate took a pounding so id prefer just to remove the air con rad .
hoping to replace the bash plate with a bit of cheqered plate , is there anything i should know prior to removal , i take it i just keep the compressor on ??
    any advice would be great

Providing there's no gas in the system, you can just disconnect everything to do with the air-con and remove it.
There are two fans bolted to the condenser rad, they just need unplugging and they come away with the rad (Quite heavy)
Disconnect all the hoses, the ones that go through the bulkhead, jusy stick a piece of gaffer tape over the couplings that are left there.
The compressor can be removed too as it runs off it's own drive belt and idler pulley.
