  • Crank pulley!

    How can i lock the crank pulley to undo the bolt in the centre on a 2.4td auto 91 reg 2nd gen? ive had my industrial compressor and impact gun on the thing but it jus laughs at me n wnt budge a bit. many thanx Joe

    Hi, you need to lock the pulley in place, do a search for crank pulley removal, and you'll find all the info.
    I would advise against the engine turn trick, I made a pulley lock by screwing two short lengths of 8mm(I think) threaded rod into the holes in the pulley, and putting a flat bar through them and agaist the chassis, then use a breaker bar to crack the nut.
