Gear lever in 'P' or 'N'?
Any clicking noises when you turn the key?

Could be the starter contacts on the way out.
Try turning the key on and off a number of times and see if the starter works, if it does then it's definitely the contacts.

It's covered in detail if you use the search facility.

Double check your battery earth too, bad earth gives the same fault.

Let us know how you get on.

Got it working, Turned out i needed it in Neutral to start it.
For some reason it wouldn't start in park?

Hehehe, yup, that's normal for auto's.
It's so you don't kill everybody around you when you try to start it in gear.

well sort of normal anyway, it should start in park but it's not that uncommon to need to push the lever forward a bit, there's a microswitch under the surround somewhere i guess it must either wear or work loose or something, i guess there must be a way of adjusting (bodging if necessary) it back a touch so it starts in Park ok again. At least for now you know you can start in neutral so it's not so much of an urgent job to fix it.

There's an adjuster on the operating rods that link the shifter to the transmission.
