  • Greasing ball joints

Right... Just got grease gun and to my confusion I found out, that passanger side front wheel have already grease "nipples", but drivers side have standard nuts. Connected gun to top "nipple" pumped some grease, but erm, no idea when to stop as I do not know where to look for grease overfill! I put quite a lot of this onto top ball joint and still haven't seen any spillage anywhere. Help??? Also, bottom nipple is in such stupid position, that I cannot get there with grease gun...

    Edit:
Just got search done and there is a lot of info. I will just need to find out, where I can buy universal grease nipple and how to take off original ones as I cannot see any place to catch them and get them out...

The blanking plugs/nipples have a hex section on them for getting with the spanner. Grease nipples, any motor factors or industrial equipment suppliers. There's a nipple on the rubber boot on original Toyota ball joints. If you overfill, it will eventually just splodge out. Otherwise, just two or three pumps of grease in there should be enough.
