  • Looks like i'm in the sh1t

Info needed , replaced the leakoff pipe and had all four leaking ......Now it appears that all of the injectors have come unscrewed slightly (where the washer is) and there appears to be a ceramic washer that has split on all of them and fallen apart on one of them.......

How much shit am i in and can i wade out??

Wouldnt a nice soft metal (copper) washer replacement do the trick, plumbers type, and just replace them again, or have i not understood the gravity of the situation?

ian i did mine a while back, i unscrewed them and clean them out(making sure not to touch the insides with your fingers). as far as the washers go i did not replace them as when you tighten them up it leaves the same gap. i have had no probs with the washers not being in there. so in my opion you will be fine

You should not dismantle injectors yourself . If I remember back to my college days the washers you mention may be slightly different thicknesses to adjust the spray off pressure of the injector . Each one is set up on a test pressure machine which shows the pressure the injector 'fires' at . Incorrect fire of the injector will affect spray pattern and timing (slightly) and fuel quantity .
I maybe wrong , but not often .

I think Tony uses someone called Diesel Bob (?) , or Yellow pages for a local diesel specialist . Ball park cost £150 - £200.
