help with code flashes

  • help with code flashes

    right, i have managed to sus out how to read the codes,

    now then i connected up the termanils and i got 12 flashes of the check engine light with a 4.5 second gap in between before it starts to flash another 12 times,

    so can some one please tell me whats going on ?

    Pretty sure thats injection pump/timing

    here ya go
    RESULTS FROM CODES
    1 - Normal
    2 - Turbo boost pressure sensor
    4 - Coolant temperature sensor
    5 - Correction resistance (Pump)
    6 - Pump speed sensor (Pump)
    7 - Throttle position sensor
    8 - Intake air temperature sensor
    9 - Vehicle speed sensor
    10 - Starter switch
    11 - Switch sign (Vehicle not in P or N or A/C on)
    12 - Timer control valve (Pump)
    13 - Crank position sensor
    Without Surf And Unhappy

      Its here....

      12 is a bugger, 12 - Timer control valve (Pump)

      Some time replacing the valve dosn't work, and you need another pump.

        Timer Control Valve bottom rear of fuel pump. This does not mean the TCV is faulty though as timing belt jumping a tooth or two can also affect things. Check connections to the TCV as well.

        The Aussie site has quite a bit of info on the TCV if you do a search.

            have you a link mate for the aussie site ?

            and when you say check connections tp the TCV, do you mean the actual wires that go to it ?
