On the way back home the check engine light came on, got home and checked faults, thirteen flashes.

I have been offered a second hand sensor by Lord Lucan from the forum so am persuing that.

    A couple of questions,

    Where is the sensor?

    What does it look like?

    How do you test them?

Will I damage my surf if i continue to run it with the check engine light on?

Rear of fuel pump in block near the fuel pipe unions.

It has a plug with red and white wires clamped in with a small bolt IIRC.

Can't remember at the moment. Edit: This may help. http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/forum/v...t=crank+sensor

Probably not but better to fix asap.

Thanks lads for all your help, my oil pressure is now back up to scratch, and my fault light has been fixed by replacing the crank position sensor with a second hand one off one of the forum lads, again thanks for all the help.

My Surf is now happily plodding up and down to work.
