  • Have a small leak in my drivers footwell!

Not 100% convinced it is the heater matrix though as it only seems to be happening in wet weather and doesn't smell of coolant and I do not seem to be losing coolant.

Thing is, I want to be sure, so can anyone give me any pointers on what I should be looking out for if it is the heater matrix that is knackered?

Things like smell, position of dampness, etc.

Also, cost of replacing/fixing heater matrix?

    Cheers guys.

There is a blank grommet on the drivers side bulkhead. It is the favourite place for feeding through wiring for accessories. Check that somone has not puched a hole in it and fed a figure 8 twin lead through or removed an old wire without replacing the grommet.
Mine had a draught that was enough to cut your legs off on a frosty morning. The hole in the grommet was no more than 3/16".
    It's only a hobby!

      Thanks for that.

Anyone else with ideas about how to spot a heater matrix leak, and yes, I have used the search facility!
