Now I've Messed With It... Help Put It Right ?

Hi all,

As I guess you all know, I've fiddled with every nut bolt & washer under the bonnet in the quest for 40mph plus ....

Well now its fixed I'd like to put everything back the way it should be, so..........

Throttle cable now re-slackened.
Turbocharger re-seated (without washers behind wastegate).
EGR re-connected.

The last one is the throttle stop (pictured), does anyone know how many turns / what adjustment it should be set at ? I have it fully open at the moment.... and I know it shouldbn't be like that as the last 1/4 inch of the pedal makes no difference at all - save for chucking too much fuel out of the exhaust I guess !

So what was wrong?

In case I have missed the answer in another thread, what was it that sapped all of your power, or was it a combination of things? Mine will not rev past 3500, no matter what. I still suspect the diesel pump or timing, unless you can point me in another direction?

I realised that my rear heater wasn't blowing hot in the recent cold weather, so I replaced the thermostat and rad cap. No change.

I then poured in a bottle of radflush.

Day1 - No change
Day 2 - No change
Day 3 - It blows hot!

Must have been a block somewhere. I am going to leave it in for a week and see what happens!
