Starter Motor

Hi all,

Could anyone give me some advice as how best to remove a starter motor from a 1990 2nd Gen 2.4TD.

The problem Iam having is removing the top bolt which bolts the starter to the bell housing, cant seem to get a spanner in there to remove it.

Is there an easy way of doing this?

You need a couple of long extensions and a universal joint with a 17mm short socket on the end then you can get at the bolt from the g/box side .

Managed to get the dam thing out at last. (what a nightmare)

Just got to get it back in when I fit the new starter!!
