Surf

Firstly apologies for being totally useless with cars. Can anyone help me at all - my 2.4 hilux surf battery is totally flat (lights left on over night, oops) and so far nothing has worked. I have tried two sizes of jump leads and charging the battery with a charger. Still have a dead car, although now the lights etc come on. what is confusing me is that the immobiliser on the car is acting differntly to usual. Normally i put in this little fob thing and it starts flashing and beeping, and they i put the key in the ignition and it starts. Now after doing nothing at all, it is flashing rapidly but the car will not start. Is there a reset button or something specific i should be doing?
