So I've started taking bits off so as to eventually get the head off - what a job it's taking forever! I have read somewhere that it's best to leave the inlet manifold on, and remove it on the bench. What do you do about the injector pipes? I can't even see where they go on the pump end, let alone get a spanner onto them. Can you disconnect them at the injector end and bend the pipes away, or must I excavate down to get at them on the pump?
Also, is there a trick to getting at the lower nut that holds the EGR pipe to the exhaust down pipe?
