Manual Gearbox to Auto Tranny swap

guys i need some help here, i have the 2.4lt 2l-t surf, its NON EFI.
Its also manual, i want to swap in an suto tranny instead, im getting an auto tranny from an efi 2lte surf. My question is would it work on my 2l-t engine? i know it would bolt up but im seeing some wires run on it to 2 electrical plug on the caseing, dont know if the tranny is controlled by the ecu or just by a cable. Would the tranny from the efi 2lt-e work on my non efi 2l-t?

This is YEARS later, and the original poster is doubtless no longer interested, but for the record yes it will work, but not great. "Unplugged", the electronic auto trans starts you off in second, and won't have the overdrive as it was electronically engaged I believe. You can select for "Low"/1st manually to start off, then after that it shifts normally.
