  • Crankshaft Pulley

I'm trying to take the crankshaft pulley off, but I can't find the bell housing inspection plate. Where is it?

I had a good search around and found some good tips for removing it:

I like, but what is it that holds the flywheel in place?

I'd like to try and jam the starter ring gear teeth...

This is what happens when you give an idiot a Haynes Manual...

    Thanks.

With the front two pulleys removed from the main pulley, you'll see some cut outs in the hub, get a long prybar, about 18", and wedge the end in these notches, then rest it on the steering box. This will lock the crank to let you remove the nut.
