Antenna replacement problem.

I need to replace my broken radio antenna mast. The plastic cable is broken, so I need to open the antenna motor and pull out the broken piece. I know where it is and how to do it. HERE IS THE PROBLEM.... How do you get the liner off of the inside of the wheel arch. I removed 4-5 screws, but there seems to be rivets holding it as well. What is the "trick" to getting the lining out?

Not totally sure as I've never looked at mine but you may well have to drill out the rivets and replace them when ut's al done.

when i did mine i just undid the one side of the liner and moved it out the way!!

once you've got the liner out and your getting to your aerial you need small hands! and i mean small gos there is not much room up there!

Drill the rivets. That's what I did.

If I drill out the rivets, can they be replaced without a great deal of difficulty?

yep just be carefull and use the smallest drill bit thats needed.
