  • Brake pipe replacement front to rear

Anyone replaced the brake pipe that runs from the master cylinder at the front to the flexible hose at the rear. Looks like it's one long pipe with no joints. At the front it is coiled. I realise I would need to remove the deisel tank, but I don't see how one can thread it in without either raising the body off the chasis or adding a joint in the pipe. Any clues?

I was wrong about no joints there was one at the front after the coil. Even so it was difficult removing the pipe in (almost) one piece. Had to start with the rear piece and bend it forwards over the axle and then retract the remainder rearwards.

I ordered a new pipe from the main dealer but they supplied the wrong one, and the correct one was on a week's back order. So I got the correct length of copper pipe made up by a local autoparts supplier for £6, shaped it to match the old pipe best I could, and now it's fitted. Just struggling with refitting the fuel tank.
