          Saggy arse no more!

Hey folks, I did it! Not too difficult really and I'm a novice. Thanks to all who offered advice - it was needed! Now my Surf has a pert bouncy rear end.
If anyone here is thinking of changing their own rear coil springs I would say "go for it" 'cos if I managed it, anyone can.

          Thanks again,
          Jay.

Great aint it? I bought the ones from roughtrax which are 2" lifts. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the garage charge to fit your springs?

Fitted my rear Springs (Milners +20%) weekend before RTTS
Bargain at £20 squid, from a m8 'O' course & even easier if ya got underslung Spare ...
                        Here's how I done mine ....
Placed me Original steel wheel on the ground under me spare, placed
(3"x8" x 3ft) timber on top of the wheel (on the ground) place 3 ton bottle jack on timber & 2nd timber on top of bottle jack ..... Check for stability
Put trolley jack under diff n jack up, at the same time as bottle jack untill required height is reached. Check for stability
Let trolley jack down to release tension on on axle, Check for stability hey presto !!!
                        Hope this helps someone ....

There's always a Payback .... Ya just dont see it Comin !!!!

I did mine in about an hour, with no experience what so ever. Just info for the forum.

Felt a real sense of achievement once I'd finished.

I did my complete 3 inch suspension lift without a trolley jack. I had the small metal ramps, the Surf bottle jack and some blocks of 4by2. No worries.
Although it would of made life easier if i had a trolley jack and axel stands.

Hi, I used Roughtrax 2" lift uprated springs.
Sorry, I can't upload any pics. Keep getting "upload failed" message and I'm sure the files are small enough.
Maybe someone knows why that happened...?
