  • help please!!! sluggish

hi there , ive replaced the head on my 2.4 and put it all back together, she starts and runs but will not pull. on a pretty steep hill in l she was down to about 2.5mph at full throttle and on the flat and level struggles above 50mph.
    any suggestions?
im currently running injector cleaner through her and i dont think the brakes are sticking on.
thanks for any help people can give me on this.

Check your vac pipes to the turbo, make sure they are all connect and the right way round.

Had the same prob after my head was done, mech got the vac tubes on wrong way round, turbo spooled up and light came on, but no boost.

My turbo comes in around the 2k mark which I think is normal, 3k seems a bit high.

3k is definitely too high. The 2.4 is practically topped out at 3k.

There's a diagram on the page below, about 1/2 way down, showing all the vac pipe connections - does that help?

also here on the Australian site -

ahh those are the diagrams i started looknig at before i realised thats the direct injection engine and its a different layout to the efi one, you can see the differences in the top two photos, i have the engine shown in the top photo on the australian site but the vacuum diagram relates to the engine in the bottom of the two pics.
if there is a similar diagram anywhere for the efi that would sort it.
thanks for the help though chap
