    Anyone? I need a suggestion or a bigger hammer!

          surely not i have removed all the bolts but it will only pivot I cant get it to budge off the mounts...

            They can become a bit wedged in the bracket where the large bottom pivot bolt goes through. In this case it will need a bit of gentle persuasion.

              i guess thats whats happened... Ill try with some more GENTLE persuasion later and hope it comes out.

                well it did come out after hitting it harder. stripped it, no idea what i was looking for but gave it a clean and then spent even longer trying to get it all back in (minus the aircon thankfully!). tomorrow Ill plumb it al back in and see if it has helped.

                BTW, where should the tiny vac pipe go from the alternator as mine went no-where when I started.

                  It should be connected to a 'tee' piece directly above the alternator if I remember correctly.

                      41531J in diagram should connect to a T piece on hose from Vacuum Pump.

                          all back together and....
























                          ITS CHARGING!
                          just need to replace a batery terminal and stop the diff leaking and fix the rear brakes
