  • new prop required or place that re-conditions?

    Hi all
    after having my surf now for 2 months and finally getting it to run good myself after being in 3 garages (1 the main dealer) who cauld not sort it out it is going so good i have ripped my prop apart!!!! can anyone tell me where to find a replacement or someone local to oxford/swindon who can repair them

    Do it yourself mate... much cheaper!! Had a bad vibration in mine and found the rear uj shot ..... cut the old one out, knocked out the cups install new one (just make sure you do not dislodge any needle rollers) Did the whole job in 3/4 hour.. only real tools you need are a drift, socket to push in roller cups and a good vice!

      and make sure the ujs are lined up when you fit it back up.

        where did you get the new uj's from?

          I have paint pened both ends when taking off1 is that what you mean?

              Yeah - unless you want to lay underneath your truck for an hour holding up a days off roading in Salisbury - I can't believe I got that far without shearing off another UJ......

                  Not yet!!

                  Mind you, I haven't paid the first one that messed it up - it's a £400 bill and he's not chasing it....
