  • Brake light

    my E-Brake / Parking Brake light is on.
    (yes i do put the brake in, so its not me)

    i have checked to see if the button is being pressed and it is.
    so where else should i look

    Low fluid or worn pads etc ?

      Its not low fluid.

      i have not looked at my pads yet.

      do they have pad sensors ?

        I think they may, but not sure.

          Has the brake pedal gone hard.....that happened when my vacuum pump gave up .

            nope, every thing seem to be fine, and its not hard to stop the hilux.

              My vac pump died in wales .......the first thing i knew about it was going down a very steep hill the brake light came on and no brakes ............

                  the pads have audible wear thingys on them, make a $$$$$$ awful noise. check the float in the brake fluid reservior. my missus has just driven off in mine so i cant check to see what sets the light off on the fluid pot.

                    that how i figured the brake worked, err all the other car i have seen do that.

                      Nope. just little bits of metal that rub on disc when its worn down to 2-3mm.
