on the 2.2 td it's an economy light... it comes on during mid range revs to show you are driving most economically... dunno about on the 2.4 surf though.

        turbo light on dashboard

I hope it's not improper to but in on this thread. Ive also got some questions.
        1. Correct me if I'm wrong. The green light switches on when the turbo is in full boost.
        2. On a 2L-TE (2.4L TD EFI) at what RPM does your turbo light switch on?

Doesn't seem to be at a particular rev speed on mine, can be dependant on need I guess?? Mine seems to come on between 1750 and 2400 rpm.

Same with mine. Can come on at any revs over 1700 Very much a case of when it needs it I think.

Think it is supposed to come on at anything over 1psi boost - i.e once the Turbo is doing something positive.

              Cheers

                turbo light on dashboard

Mine NEVER lights below 2000rpm. It only lights up when the rpm exceeds around 2050. Do I have a problem? Is there something wrong with my turbo?

Depends how heavy your right foot is. Mines constantly on when cruising on the M'way, at 70MPH, except for the downhill bits where the engine is not pulling. It cuts in at any revs where the demand of the right foot exceeds the natural momentum of the truck.
We got some big hills round here!
                  It's only a hobby!
