  • Rpm cold?

    Can anyone please tell me what the correct rpm should be on startup (cold) before pressing idle up switch ...?

    i think mine is about 750

      Official idle is 750-850, depending on model. Up to 950 is generally OK.

              1750 rpm.

              Q.2: my surf's fuel economy doesn't seem to be as good as the others on here...suggestions?

                  On cold mornings mine always starts on a slightly higher rpm than normal. I presumed the computer was adjusting for something.

                    Not that it gets very cold here but mine is the same. I can hear the engine sound change after a few minutes as it warms up and the ECU compensates for this. Normal idle (manual) is 750RPM and a little higher the first few minutes depending on ambient temp.Idle up is 1200-1250.
