So can anyone let me know of good places or suppliers where i can get a head for an LN130 2.4 tdi Surf?
I know more but worth it in the end

Definately, cant go wrong with Stevo, he uses the uprated head which is pretty much bulletproof as many others will tell you. He did mine about a month ago and runs like new now. His prices are pretty good too. £995 + vat i think but he replaces all belts inc cam belt, flushes cooling system and overhauls viscous fan then fills up with 5 year coolant. Great bloke as well, good luck.

Edit: he can collect your surf for a price as well, give him a call.

        Thanks for thehelp

Thanks for the help. My regular garage can supplyand fit for similar price so will go there as local. He knew what problem was straight away and has done several already, so knows what to expect.

just make sure that the head your garage gets is the new modified head or else you will be paying twice

If its not a modified one, buy one from steve and get your garage to fit it. He supplies bare ones for £475 +vat

yep - stevo fixed it for me too

well, he supplied the head and the local mechanic fitted it

the stevo ones have a sticker on the side that tells you how hot the water has gotten, that's an easy way to identify em

same thing happened to me back in may. it happens. now though i can drive where ever i please and dont even worry about it

once i got it done, i kept checking the water every day or so as was still paranoid. then i didnt check it for 3 months, it hadn't dropped. such peace of mind
              problems? i'll take 'em.
