i was just wondering if someone with a bit of experience/knowledge could give me some advice
i recently bought a 2.4 surf. it started to overheat after a couple of weeks.
the coolant kept filling the expansion tank.
i then fitted a new thermastat and cap but still did it. oil was also mixing with the water.
i took it to a mechanic and of course he suspected it was the head. so a new head was fitted with gasket and new head bolts.
To my dispair it is still filling the expansion tank and beginning to overheat. but now the water is clear, with no sign of oil.
The mechanic was left scratching his head as he can not beleive it.
i have a couple of question.
is there a possibility of the block being warpped or something like that.
Or have i and the mechanic missed something stupid that would cause this problem?
All advice and or remedies would be very appreciated as i am totally at my wits end.
thanks..
